The power of self-touch

Self-centred is an online session for women to be guided through the art of self-massage to reconnect with their bodies, soothe the nervous system, and return to their centre.

In this gentle, one-hour session, you'll be led through grounding Breathwork and chest and womb self-massage practices designed to bring you back into relationship with yourself — no experience necessary!

RELEASE STRESS + TENSION IN YOUR BODY

The power of self-massage is that YOU know where you need touch, how much pressure, what feels good. Release stress, tension + emotion from your body in a way which feels nourishing for you.

Down-regulate your nervous system

The act of self-massage means that your body isn't completely still which means if you are feeling stressed or overwhelmed, it provides an outlet for this feeling to move through your nervous system first, before you sink into rest.

Feel grounded and more COMFORTABLE IN YOUR SKIN

Self-massage enabled you to connect to your body in a new, nurturing way. It enables you to feel calm whilst exploring your body as you cultivate this new relationship with the skin you are in.

Learn simple, repeatable TECHNIQUES

As you are guided to explore self-massage, you are learning new techniques which you can bring into your daily routine. Nothing complicated, just simple movements to connect you to you.

ALL YOU WILL NEED:

→ A quiet, comfortable space.

→ Moisturiser (or body oil if you have it)

→ A notebook and pen (if you’d like to reflect on the experience)

I’ve always been deeply passionate about facilitating spaces which enable women to come home to their bodies. 

Bodies which society, the media, family, strangers so often criticise, fixate upon leading women to feel from a young age that their bodies are not good enough. Leading women to try to shrink themselves down, to stand in the mirror and pick themselves apart.

I have been there. I understand.

Now as an energy + sound facilitator and bodyworker I share these modalities as access points guide women in to acceptance and love for their bodies.

faq

What would I need to bring to the session?

You will just need moisturiser or body oil (if you have it) so that you have something to create a gliding surface on your skin.

A loose fitting top under which you can take your bra off or feel free to be topless as you won't need to have your camera on.

Trousers/bottoms which you can pull down below your hip bones.

how long to i have access to the replay?

The session will be recorded and you will have access to the replay for 14 days. You will be able to download the replay should you wish to keep it to watch after the 14 day period.

 


 

I have never self-massaged, do i need any prior experience?

Not at all! All you need is a little curiosity and trust. I will guide you and you will know what feels good in your body and remember this will change day to day so its an invitation to explore these techniques outside of our hour together and discover which techniques feel really nourishing in your body.
